This photo was taken looking along Weymouth Pier as the sun was setting behind me. The clouds were turning a beautiful shade of red and pink. The sea has been calmed in the photo by using a 13 second exposure at f29. This gave maximum depth of field with a sigma 10-20mm lens set at 16mm. The long exposure was achieved using a 4 stop ND filter. Nikon D300
Being ever so slightly mad I went out to take this pic in my usual shorts and sandles. The actual temp was -4 C and there was quite a chilling wind. ironically my legs were not cold but my hands could hardly feel the camera!! You certainly get noticed in this gear. I was very impressed whenI saw some old friend pulling their GIG (long rowing boat) out of the water having rowed across the bay and back (now that is mad)
I am currently taking lots on photos along gthe Jurasic coast, with a view to having an exhibition and producing a “coffee table” photo book. Many of my existing photos are of the more rugid coast and cliffs but I am keed to include some of the town and village along the coast as well.
The Jurasic coast has world heritage status.

Thanks so much Deb. Yeah the sky was getting darker as I was walking to the pier. Got there just at the right time.
