Eastbourne Pier Lomo by

I have tried to do something a little different with this shot of our Pier.
A Black and White conversion and Lomo effect created in PSE9 for Mac.
Let me know what you think.

The piers are just awesome structures when you think about what they are supporting and holding up and this image defines that beautifullly, Gary!

  • Thank you for your kind words Mark. Much appreciated.

I just spent a couple of weeks in Southern California and a lot of the beaches that I saw have piers but they are just simple wooden structures extending out a short distance over the water and good only for fishing from. The piers of England in their Victorian finery as presented by your good self here Gary are wonderful in comparison and there is nothing else like them in the world. It’s such a shame that the English don’t really seem to appreciate them and allow them to deteriorate or get destroyed like the West Pier in Brighton or Hasting’s Pier. Love this capture, nice work indeed.

  • Thanks Chris, haven’t been around Bubble much in the last 12 months but thought the old Eastbourne front page needed a freshen up. Thanks for your kind comments on the Pier Lomo.
