Great shot Gary!! What a cool looking squirrel!

  • Thanks Kent…we do have many Black Squirrels here but this is a Chipmunk and quite rare. First one I have ever seen and did not know they existed until some local photographers talked about it. There was even a story in our City’s largest newspaper about it because of how unusual it is…

Perfectly exposed, Gary – very well done. Gee, I wonder who was feeding it strawberries? ;)

  • :) Not me :) Her name is Linda and she was photographing our friend when I arrived ( first time I saw this chipper) Her daughter feeds strawberries to the Chippers at home. It didn’t seem interested in the berries until the peanuts ran out…probably due to their short shelf life…I guess this guy is tucked away for the Winter now…with enough food to feed a family of 200 .-)

Fantastic capture! Love the bright pop of the strawberries and that “I’ve been interrupted” look. Great clarity as well.
