May appear to be a captive bird however this owl is free and wild

Those big brown eyes can soak up the light and the trick is to get some reflection on them otherwise these dark and beautiful eyes can look flat and creepy. This bird was photographed in Presqu’ile Provincial Park on Lake Ontario. Canada…There were reports of as many as twelve overwintering in the park and we saw two on this day.

Canon 50D and 400 F5.6L ISO 250 and 1/1250 sec at F6.3…approx 10% cropped off the top for composition
