A Yellow Warbler and a very tiny and territorial male. They rarely stop as they glean the leaves looking for insects. At only 1/3 of an ounce and 5 inches long they can blend into the bushes and trees easily even if they are brightly colored. In a week or two they will be harder to see, A great many of them arrived recently during migration and many will continue further north. Probably the most common Warbler we have in this area and they are common all over N.A. preferring to be near wetlands and streams…I do get juveniles in late Summer in my yard as well. This one was along the river near Dunrobin ON Canada

Love it, the background makes the yellow pop even more.
Many thanks Neil and yes excatly….I took many photos of this species in several different areas over many hours yesterday but the ones with this background were by far my favourites for exactly that reason.
