This tiny predator was quite a challenge to photograph. A super high metabolism translates into a very fast and hard to predict carnivore and he.she was hunting at the time. It would disapear into/under a some brush and a couple of voles surfaced out of the snow between us and the weasel. As if they were alerted of the iminent danger the voles scurried off. But this animal was many times faster than any vole and I wonder just how far they got. Ermine fur has been used to trim the robes of kings etc…
