beautiful work gareth. love the composiition
Thanks, Deborah – it’s actually a diptych, designed to make a line between the canvases to represent an horizon line.
– Gareth Colliton
This is fantastic. When I first looked at it the horizontal line and textures made me think it was painted on zippo lighter hehe I thought “Man, this is some seriously intricate work!” ;-)
Haha hmmm, might be an idea…
masterful composition…. it’s a very handsome painting, gareth… : )
Hey, thanks, Mimi! Keep up the good work yourself!
Great proportion at a challenging angle. Graham.
Hey, nice of you to notice! It’s subtle, but to achieve it, I actually built a 6 foot platform in my studio for me and my easel to stand on.
Love this. He seems down trodden and perfectly placed.
