Nature is my passion and inspiration for my art. I started out by photographing it, but now I love to paint it as well.
I have been painting with watercolour for many years now, and I am still amazed and continually excited by this most magical of mediums. I’m still on my journey of discovery; a journey which I hope will never end. Every time I pick up my paintbrush I wonder where the paint will lead me.
Another magical medium, which I am enthralled by, is encaustics.

wow..such delicate handling of foreground and what a beautiful background …gorgeous,Jackie.

  • Thank you jyoti for your welcome praise – much appreciated. I really like the background of this one too (my favourite colour combination maybe?) I am quite surpised that we two seem to be the only people to like this painting. I wonder why? It’s one of my favourites.

This is lovely Jacki – again I can see your two seperate whishes not marrying

Just need to bleed those backgrounds colours over the edges- loose the neat edge and you will be flying x

You have chosen the shadow colours to complement the backgrond just need to be braver ,mess it up x
    Happy painting

  • Thank you Bev for your kind feedback – I always said that if I lived nearer to you I would come to your classes. Maybe we’ll have a correspondence course via RB! :-)
Next time I will try very hard to not be so precious and will try to mess it up a bit. Give me a week and then watch this space? Best wishes and happy painting!

The white petals against those shades of blues really POP, Jacki!
Your flowers in your series are fresh and bright, full of colours! Wonderful!

  • Thank you so much Susan for your lovely feedback – it is much appreciated. I’m so glad you like this one as it’s one of my all-time favourites, but not that popular here on RB!
