Garden of Beeden 2009 - Neutral Buoyancy

I have always loved coral reefs for the incredible diversity of creatures that they support. Whether you visit a coral reef wearing scuba gear or from an arm chair through the lens of an underwater camera the journey is like a trip to another world.

Coral reefs are like the rainforests of the sea supporting countless species, that in turn feed 100’s of millions of people worldwide. It has been estimated that coral reefs contribute >$350 billion annually to the global economy in ecosystem goods and service.

I have been lucky enough to take all of these images on the Great Barrier Reef, the world’s largest coral reef system. Sadly the future of coral reefs is far from certain; climate change threatens make the oceans too hot and acidic for corals to thrive.

However there is hope, our individual choices to reduce CO2 emissions will add up:

Use your vote: vote for political parties that will take firm action to reduce CO2 emissions.

Use your wallet:

1) Purchasing greenhouse-neutral products or services Greenhouse Friendly

2) Offset your CO2 emissions Climate Friendly
