A burst of color as our lace leaf maple transitions from summer’s green to autumn’s red hues. Canon G11
Besides photographing things I find beautiful, I love to paint in watercolor! It can be loads of fun, creating its own beautiful color combinations as they run together on the paper, or it can be surprisingly independent, doing “its own thing” where you pretty much have to give up control – one never knows! That’s all just part of the fun!

Lovely image, Pat. Such a glorious red. x
This tree puts on a stunning show each autumn, Agnes ~ wish you could be here to see it! Thanks for your nice comment, my friend!

These are such vivid and graceful leaves!
Thanks for your kind words, Celeste ~ It’s really something to see, as it’s grown from a two foot sprout to about 12’x 12’ and seems to love its spot at the front of our home. It’s been badly damaged twice by ice storms, with a main branch hanging on almost by its skin, now winched in place and growing as if nothing had happened. Every winter is an adventure!
