Color in Pike Place Market by Pat Yager

Color in Pike Place Market by

A colorful display of fruit and vegetables, amid the numerous fish markets in one of Seattle’s premier tourist attractions in August.

Besides photographing things I find beautiful, I love to paint in watercolor! It can be loads of fun, creating its own beautiful color combinations as they run together on the paper, or it can be surprisingly independent, doing “its own thing” where you pretty much have to give up control – one never knows! That’s all just part of the fun!

Beautiful colours, the reds and oranges have a strength of their own. Nicely captured Pat.

  • I was struck, too, Jim, by the artistic arrangement displayed here. Someone obviously had a good eye for color and balance. It was one of the most attractive of the many displays we saw. I appreciate your thoughtful comment! – Pat

    Lovely capture, simply mouth watering

  • Isn’t it amazing, Barry, how the extra effort this vendor makes in preparing his display really draws attention. Thanks for your kind comment, my friend.

Hi Pat funny you should say that were off to Looe in Cornwall next Saturday for a week, we come back home for a week and then back down to The Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall for a week would be nice if we could find somewhere for the middle week at a reasonable price to save us coming back home. Mind you it only takes us an hour to Looe and two hours to the Lizard so it’s not to bad. Have you guys been away? Take care Love Catherine.x
