Besides photographing things I find beautiful, I love to paint in watercolor! It can be loads of fun, creating its own beautiful color...

At This Time of Year . . .

. . . we usually think of the baby Jesus lying in a manger. But here is a mind-boggling glimpse of the magnitude of that event:…

“The God of Power, as he did ride
In his majestik robes of glorie,
Resolved to light; and so one day
He did descend, undressing all the way.”
– George Herbert
in 17th Century England

“Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God. He made himself nothing; he took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form. And in human form he obediently humbled himself even further by dying a criminal’s death on a cross.”

God adjusted to us so He could have a relationship with us. “He came to pay a debt He didn’t owe, because we owed a debt we couldn’t pay.”

“To whom will you compare me?

Ruffled Begonia Watercolor featured in two groups

Thank you to the hosts of Spring Blooms and Florals, Watercolours, and Pastels, for featuring Ruffled Begonia Watercolor this week! It’s a painting I’ve done for my little granddaughter, Faith, and is painted from my RB photo called “Cascading Ruffled Begonia.” – Pat

"Reaching for the Sky" wins Challenge in Spring Blooms!

So many beautiful blooms were entered in this challenge – I wish many of them could have won also! Thank you to those who were kind enough to vote for my iris watercolor! An interesting story – It was lost sixteen years ago in a move and only about six weeks ago, when my husband brought in a box from the garage, did it reappear. I’m so happy to have the original back again! – Pat
