The White Queen’s Rook
Artist: Sjem
Biography: Danny
One of the White King’s great assets – even though he possesses a fallen Angel in his ranks was his belief that faith alone would not save his army and the art of both mechanoid and wizardry could always be relied upon to be great allies when administered carefully.
Hence the reason the king kept Universities that studied the mechanical and more unorthodox majical arts.
It was through these academies principled by the Queens Bishop that the flank engines were created.
The Steam City
The Left flank that provides the Queen’s armies protection is a massive structure made of slick marble and iron making the structure unscaleable except from within. The ability to create what can only be described as a turret on wheels also provides a means to carry the food, supplies and weapons that a large army needs to conduct a battle of mythical proportions.

The amount of detail in this is ridiculous – that and you get bonus rook-pawns for free ;o)
Truly monumental… with extra Mental
Needs to be viewed LARGE.
I loves this soooooooooo much because it represents sjem.
He’s played to his strengths (which he has many) and taken this project onto another plain.
The detail is superb and that logo!!!
This is what GoK is all about. Check out the other guys and then check their portfolios and you’ll see everyone involved took their talents to another level and inagination to another place when submitting art.
Bravo.
Makes me want to own a tank
this is some serious designing sjem. Brilliant mate
He needs the back up rook pawn’s to slyly bring back on the board when black’s not looking. :)
And Danny’s right.. to see the level that everyone has gone to on this project is something else.
This kicks arse in so many ways. Halftone glory.
This really is the Bogs Dollocks… superbly magnificent in it’s HUGENESS!
A t-shirt does not do this justice. I actually needs to be built. Go on sjem, what are you doing on your lunch break? Get your bricks out.
