Taken with a Canon T3i and a 18-200 Cannon IS lens
I was heading to Ocean City New Jersey to drop off pictures for an art show the weather was suppose to be rain all day. I debated if I was going to bring my camera. I stopped by the 59th st beach to see the effects of Hurricane Sandy. There use to be a fishing pier built in the early 1900s that has been battered by previous storms., and was an interesting site to photograph. The main entrance was blocked off, but this Old Salt said try by the construction equipment. I decided to grab my camera because there had not been any rain yet. The site I saw was sad and beautiful. The pier which I have a few mages of on this site was reduced to the few pylons. But the sun and sky was a sight worth seeing.
There are a few signs of the destruction that the town experienced last October, but has recovered well. Wondering what else I will find exploring the town and surrounding area. Sommers point exit on the GardenState parkway
