Just like Giotto, simple is perfection. When the Pope sent a messenger to Giotto, asking him to send a drawing to demonstrate his skill, Giotto drew, in red paint, a circle so perfect that it seemed as though it was drawn using a compass and instructed the messenger to give that to the Pope.

I give today to Red Bubble the gift of a perfect stickman used with no instruments to aid my flawless lines. I took a picture of my drawing.

Galagol (what’s your real name?), I have to say this is most perfect stickman I have ever seen, and it is certainly worthy of presenting to RB as Giotto’s circle was worthy of presenting to the Pope.

Based on this, I hope to see lots more of your stuff in the near future, and I’m sure the comments and favs will come flooding in.

In the meantime, you are definitely on my watchlist!!

Cheers & hugs (Italian style), BB

Is it an optical illusion that the arms and legs are the same length?

  • Barbara, great observation. It is my Vitruvius gift to Leonardo…. if you will. Vitruvius described the human figure as being the principal source of proportion among the Classical orders of architecture. Its my keen interest in proportion.
