What an eye catching image!! Where’s Dennis when you need him! Email it to him. Not being an expert on lighting I am not sure but my feeling would be there is more light on the chest and arms and less on the face and forehead so my eye is tending to go to the lower half of the image first? (You don’t have Viveza do you?? Can fix this type of thing so easily with it). Go for it – enter it. Skin tones are beautiful and detail is spot-on. 4.5/5 !!!!

  • Thanks Rosalie. Just had a bm from Ian English. Saying the same. Has given me a little tutorial to do. Will have a go at it.

Wow Gail – lovely portrait, I say go for it. I agree with Rosalie though, maybe tone down the light on the chest and arms as your eye tends to be drawn to that half of the image.

  • Thanks Eve. Will work on that.

An absolutely beautiful pensive portrait with lovely soft lighting & skin tones. I agree with Rosalie re the lighting, but you should be able to adjust that in editing, changing the emphasis. I would definitely go for it with the comp too, Gail !!!

  • Thanks Phil. Yep. Been fiddling with it PS. It’s made a difference. Thanks again.
