Wee Jasper
As said. Taken at Wee Jasper
Wee Jasper is a picturesque village, nestled at the foothills of the Brindabella Ranges. It sits beside the beautiful Goodradigbee River and the backwaters of Burrinjuck Dam in southern New South Wales, Australia.
This shot was taken a couple of years ago. We were in drought then. Still are now. You can see that where I am standing would have been under water.
Has an eeriness about it. Standing where there once was water.
Taken late afternoon.
Taken with my Fuji S9500

Love this Gail, love the old dead trees around the water, they do give an eerie feel to this image.

Yes. There is a ‘little’ water here & you’re right. Not much shade from these trees. Thanks John.

Thats amazing Gail….so sad to see it near empty!!! But its a stunning image!! *-)
GailD replied
Most of our major dams/catchments are down below 50%. One is even at 8%. March is supposed to bring us some rain. We’ll see. Thanks Deb.

Thank you Hans. It is a weird feeling being ‘under the water level’.
