Running to Where...

I was inspired by Sarah’s great work I thought I’d try my hand at this.

All work done in PS. Three separate photos of mine. The bridge, the fog & the lady.
Many layers later this is what I have come up with.
A ghostly figure running toward the bridge on a foggy day.
Please bear in mind this is my first attempt.

They can take hours if you do all the images yourself!!! Some people spend up to a week on one work to get it right – not dissimilar to doing a painting!

Reminds me of some of my recurring dreams (not the skirt bit) trying to run away from something or someone (like the tax collector) and not being able to get very far, quickly enough. O.K. Dr. Gail, what does that mean? Never mind, I know what it means – indigestion.
This is an excellent example of layering that PS offers. Well done.

Very interesting Gail, it’s like looking back in time and imagining how the people looked when the bridge was first built, visualizing horse drawn carriages and such! Very cool for your first time attempt at this!

i like it….one way to get a really cool fog is to put clouds on a background and reduce the opacity…

p.s. I, like you, have a lot of images in my head… just trying to figure out how to get them on a digital canvas…it’s quite challenging…. I’m convinced there is a market for good digital artwork, that could pay big dividends… jmo…

I think you could Marvin. If you can work with layers you can. If not. You could learn. Thanks.

very good for a first or any number!! I wonder what it would look like if it wasn’t ‘foggy’, but the running figure were still ghost-like?
