“Intervention of the space # 2”

Acrilic, Pencil / Artistic Fabriano 210g
18.9 × 27.5 in

This drawing was inspired by the idea of drawing myself doing another activity that I’ve recently learned (tattooing). It also seemed like another way of approaching those who are interested in my work and illustrating this at the same time. While I don’t know if anyone else needs to know who I am or what I do, I felt the need to express this. Need sometimes grows out of an absence, and occasionally this absence can be diminished by covering it with an object in a space and/or with an idea in the mind. That, for me, is and “intervention of a space”. Additionally, this second version of the drawing was a way for me to play with optical effects.

I combine sacred geometry with elements of surrealism, realism, and symbols from Mexican culture to create geometric landscapes and views into other worlds. My works primarily use pencil, ink, acrylic paint, and stencils to explore textures and contrasts. More of my artwork can be seen at http://www.vibrararte.wordpress.com. Thank you for supporting my work!
