hush i
following written by adgray:
_This could be smoke
could it be bushfire on the crest of the hill
I will stay here in the pond by the mill
and quietly chant my mo-poke
Do I run do I stay
can I hope that it passes
will I prepare – wet the grasses
in case it comes my way
there’s a crackle and then roar
and the flames appear fast
engulfing all from the past
like nothing before
After the inferno’s raging rush
as the smoke clears with the dust
and all that’s left is ash and rust
there’s now just the hush_

give me goose bumps
that rush, that shiver up the spine
when two souls connect
they touch, they meet,
it’s tender and real
and unintended
for following the heartbeat
the rhythm given by nature
i breathe and i listen
and adhere to the call
to share my dreams and my wishes
and to hear that whisper fall

beautiful outpour… ?

gabryshak replied
jemimalovesbigted wrote a journal with a cause to support the devastation down there!
would you like to create a piece of our work combined here- your wonderful outpour and my hush to donate?
let me know ~ i’d love it if we did.

I know Tonja this is not a bushfire … but that’s what it looks like as it comes up the ridge
I cannot look at our bushfire pics – I cry too much
but this has given me the view to focus and write out my shock
Thank you!
