are a happy place
i hold deep in my heart
.
in the dress made by
my grandmothers hands
that also tied my white bow
.
i stand in the thick grass
where honey clover grew
on her land so grand
every acre we knew
.
in simple, pure form
i stand with head bowed
to the beauty n’er erased
from my soul
*two photo’s scanned of my actual youth photos; the model~ me and the grass that actually grew on my grandmother’s land taken underneath the magnolia tree. the birds and clouds are from snow geese migration this year bringing the past and present together~ in flight through time
