The bees in the garden have been so thirsty since the extreme heat. We got to 44 degrees so I had to keep topping up the birdbath throughout the day.

That is so great… I’ve never seen bees drink before.
Hi there Donna, how are you? Yes with this heatwave the bees have been very thirsty. I’ve had to keep the birdbath topped up. They are drinking today still so there must not be a lot of water around.

This is an amazing shot Gabe, love it. Well captured xx
Hi Pauline, why thank you girlfriend! xx Yes it’s amazing to watch them sit around the rim of the birdbath, they are coming in their hundreds or thousands? There must not be much water around for them to drink.
Hi Kathy, thank you my friend!
Hi Kathy, thank you so much for the lovely comment on my bee shot.
OMG, what a great find. It really must be HOT! Excellent capture my friend……EXCELLENT
HI girlfriend, yes hot, well we got to 44 and now today it’s raining. I just had a look on the weather channel and well Queensland is flooding, Victoria is bushfires and well New South Wales where I live is still fires and now some rain so hopefully, not flooding but I heard this morning that somewhere in Queensland to the north, they have had 900ml in three days! That’s unreal, nearly a metre of water? Oh hubby said it’s in Tully! I’ve been white water rafting there many years ago. hmmm maybe it would be a great time to do it again! LOL!
Very cool capture Mrs Gabe, did you pour some Banrock in that water hehe!!
Oh Roy, you crazy irishman? LOL! Hey have you seen that movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding? Well just to remind you, the old father thinks that Windex will fix everything, you’re sounding very familiar by thinking that Banrock will fix everything! LOL!
I couldn’t have that on my conscience, having drunk bees flying around and hitting walls and cars! LOL!
You need shares buddy in Banrock! LOL!
Nice work Gabe.
Thank you so much Julie! :) Appreciate you dropping by! How are you guys? Raining today also?
It is thirsty work with the heatwave conditions. Hasn’t it been hot. I had my grand-daughter stay and we just hopped in and out of the pool to cool off. The ants came inside in the droves looking for water and anything else they could find. Hope your Christmas and New Year went well.
Amazing image Gabe. I also have never seen bees drink before.Bob
Hi Bob, thank you so much for the lovely comment. Yes it’s been so hot over here the poor bees arn’t getting enough moisture from the flowers. I’ve had them now for weeks in this birdbath coming and going all day.
Very nice capture! Love the clarity and reflections!
Hi Lynn, thank you so much for the lovely comment, yes I was trying for the reflection, thank you for noticing that! :))
Thank you Larry! :)
