Oh roll on Spring, what a gorgeous picture of the Lilac, smells sweetly too I bet! fantastic work Gabe x
Hi Pauline, this was up on the mountain, I love lilac and unfortunately haven’t had much luck in growing it here. It’s too warm here for it but one of the girls local is having some success and she lives one street from the beach? Go figure! LOL!
You can’t have Spring yet, it’s our turn! lOL! I tell you with the hot weather in the 39 degree mark, it’s not Spring, it’s flipped into Summer! Eeek! I hate Summer, we boil here.

Thank you so much Anne! :)
Gorgeous capture Gabe beautiful colors I can almost smell them
Awwh thank you Maggie! :) I can almost too! We were rushing around the gardens up on Mt Wilson and this one was in the garden called Nooroo. Twelve acres and well we had one hour so as you can guess it was rather rushed. The lilac and the wisteria was my favourite in this garden.
I can almost smell them. I grew up around these and have missed them all these years. Beautiful capture. :o)
Oh how beautiful Bunny, I first saw lilac when I went to my aunties place up on Hanging Rock. It was something that I never forgot as a child and always wanted one. I bought one years ago but I can’t grow them here. They don’t flower and then they go to God which is pretty sad, you try and nurse it but it’s too hot here near the coast.
Awesome capture Gabrielle,,,nice clarity,,and I bet they smell as good as they look!!
Hi Louise, thank you! :) Yes I just wish I could have bottled the smell and then I’d have the yummy smell to remind me. It was gorgeous up there at Mt Wilson, we went to 4 gardens on the ramble, need to go back.
I like the way the lilac looks, its such a beautiful flower! Beautiful photo too Gabe!
Hi Ellen, thank you so much for the lovely comment. Yes I just wish I could grow this tree, I have tried it twice but we’re too hot here on the coast.
lovely with the white edging, Gabrielle. Mine is plain lilac coloured, nowhere near as lovely as this!
Hi Bron, I’m not sure what the name of this one is but it’s very pretty. They did also have a white one and a light mauve one but I didn’t like my photos! LOL!
Beautiful shot Gabe. We have a lilac tree. I just asked Elaine does it smell nice and she said that it does. I never noticed. LOL
hahaha! That’s typical of some men? LOL! Unless they can eat it they don’t see it! LOL! Awwh you have a lilac, how wonderful, I wish but hey I’m not going to move to Canberra just to grow one! lOL!
Looks beautiful but I can’t stand the smell. Great shot mate. Bet you had a great day.
hehehe! WHY? It smells beautiful! That’s OK, there’s always one in the crowd? LOL!
