Gabe!!!! I think we have a link. It happens too often. From homepage to feautres Check my last posted image. Great shot by the way. :o)

  • You know that saying??? Great minds think alike! We might be on the same page Barb or maybe we just have similar taste! :) Either way, I just love this tree. Mine has only two buds left on it after hubby fell the big dead silky oak in the garden. It was either over my picket fence or between two trees and well it sort of went sideways and hit my magnolia. Stripped all the buds except for two. It out now but pretty sad! :( I wish I could glue a few flowers on it. LOL!

Did he get dinner that night?

  • Hahhaa! I can’t remember but he did hear about it! My tree, oh my beautiful tree, you broke it! lOL! I’ve still got the broken branch hanging off the side as it had one bud on it. It’s flowering now so when it’s finished I’ll chop off the broken branch.. If I took this branch earlier, I’d only have one flower and I couldn’t do that! LOL!

Wow Mate, these are gorgeous. Where’s Paradise Garden????

  • Hi Al, Paradise Garden is up on Mangrove Mountains, near Peats Ridge. Between Sydney and Gosford. A gorgeous place, if you ever get the chance. I think they are having another open day in October, that’s when their roses come out. i want to go back.

    beautiful shot

  • Thanks again Sylvia, this tree was just stunning. I wish mine looked like this. I’ve only got two buds left on mine. Hubby felled a tree over the top and well I wasn’t happy! :(

Gorgeous capture. We used to call these tulip trees when I lived in the south. Beautiful colors.

  • Hi Bunny, I’m not sure if we call them tulip trees here in OZ, we have another tree we call that. I can’t think of what it’s botanical name is at the moment, my brain is a bit vague lately! :(( I’ll probably think of it later! LOL!

Superb, eye appealing and filled with positive energy!!…………………..Tony

  • Hahaha! Thanks Tony, positive energy sounds good, I tell you I was so full of positive energy yesterday I wanted to hire a backhoe and semi trailer to bring this home. I wish. My Magnolia has only two buds left on it. Long story but hubby felled a tree near it and unfortunately the only tree I didn’t want the tree to land on. Did and I lost all buds. Oh well.
