Hi Di, thanks buddy! :) Yes I saw this dragonfly late afternoon, getting close to dark. He was settling for the night. I had never seen a golden one before in the garden but Kiri tells me we have them. News to me! LOL! Anyways, I’ve been practicing my macro with flash photography. I got a few good shots too of caterpillars.

Thank you my friend, I was trying out my macro with flash photography. I’m getting better. I found this little fella just before dark over near my potting tables. I didn’t think we had gold ones in the garden but Kiri tells me I’m wrong. LOL! Geez, kids???? :(

haha great to know there are kids out there who still notice things in nature,most won’t leave the teli set lol… well done to Kiri ! l can even see the little hairs on his body and across his nose (if it is known as a nose on a dragonfly ),its an awesome shot
Hehehhe! Yes Kiri now has taken off with my macro lens and I have to fight her for it. Hey speaking of close-ups and hairy noses on dragonflies, I found the most fantastic Dragonfly macro, it’s totally amazing. Have you seen Gareth Jones’s photograph of a dragonfly head? Oh wow, I’ve never seen anything like it, it’s number one! :)
