Kokang was terribly injured in a car accident causing him to break his spine in 3 places, however in desperation to save his son, Robert Quartz a well known mechanical scientist and engineer working for SILENCE inc., built his son a new body of metal and artificial flash, thus saving his son from death but placing him in a lifeless shell for the rest of his life.
