Seventeen long years by

I’ve been a moonshiner
For seventeen long years
I spent all my money on whisky and beer

I go to some hollow
And set up my holy holy still
If drinking do not kill me
Then I don’t know what will

I go to some bar room
And drink with my friends
If women and men would come to follow
To see what I might spend
God bless them handsome men
I wish they was mine

They’re breath is as sweet as
The dew on the holy holy vine

i am not sure which i like more the poem or the photo – but after some time absorbing the photo i think they are perfect together.
i love the detailed texture and sharp foreground with the background soft and faded but with just enough detail to leave us guessing but still enough to let us know what the scene is and the location. also great is the vignette and your choice of tones on this image. Nightsafe! lovely work indeed.
