Deepest Caverns In The East
The Caverns were opened to the public in 1977. It was originally explored by Col. Henry Parsons in 1889-91, but the natural entrance was too steep for general use. When the modern development took place, some tools, a ladder, a lantern, and rope were found where they had been left in 1891.

    gorgeous light & colours, excellent clarity.
    I would not dare to use 1600 ISO, but it worked well for you!

    It was so dark in there, i used a canon 28-105mm lens that worked out pretty good.

    Is that natural light there on the top?

    Takes me back to some caves I had visited with friiends in Pakistan. It was mucky, danky, damp, slippery muddy , dark ….. and silence spread her wings all over….. unless you wished to talk to your resonating voice in the form of an echo!

    Very well put Ari, It was very dark, Damp, and slippery mud all over the walls, and very cold, very difficult to get a good shot. I did see bats but not this far down but they could have been hiding in the walls and cracks…..

    Sounds like a good time Ari, I had a great time down in these caves…. Very very dark and most of my shots didn’t turn out so good….Not to mention all the bats and very cold to but, well worth it…..
