Yet one more in my Amish series…An Amish boy and a non-Amish little girl ran from the street with their mothers following behind them… The Amish woman was carrying perhaps a basket of food, as the other mother walked in front…Such an unusual group from two different worlds…

Let our differences allow us to understand one another… Dedicated to the little children who are so accepting of others.

Residing near the beach, I love to take my camera on photo-shoots when there is an impending storm, darkened skies, with the threat of rain or even snow! The shadows call to me and the fog is my friend. I hear sounds…yet most of the surroundings lie hidden from view. This allows me to escape into my own world, creating the next canvas for another of my “paintings.”

Love the spontaneity of the children playing and the bridging of two worlds by the kids and the moms. Beautiful and sensitive work, Susan, and the textures give it a very special quality.

  • Yes, Celeste…the children…one or both…came off a bus…I guess the Amish boy did not ride the bus… It makes an interesting story… Thank you!

    Rick

  • It is funny, Rick…I started out with realism and then it gently became this painting…I decided that it was complete, at that point…Thank you
