Another in my foggy art series, seen at the ocean’s shore of Sandbridge in Virginia Beach… A lone fisherman…

“Inside myself is a place where I live all alone and that is where I renew my springs that never dry up.”
Pearl S. Buck

Thanks to the following for their textures:
Distressed Jewell for “Happy Easter”
Kim Klassen for “charmed”
Three others by me

Residing near the beach, I love to take my camera on photo-shoots when there is an impending storm, darkened skies, with the threat of rain or even snow! The shadows call to me and the fog is my friend. I hear sounds…yet most of the surroundings lie hidden from view. This allows me to escape into my own world, creating the next canvas for another of my “paintings.”

“No man ever will unfold the capacities of his own intellect
who does not at least checker his life with solitude.”

Alone but not lonely, and I’ll bet he’s very much at peace out there on that beach. You really captured the feeling of solitude beautifully, Susan!

  • Yes, Celeste… I do not think the line fisherman even knew I was sharing his foggy beach… He never turned to look my way… Solitude was his .
