A dried rose, a vintage crocheted table scarf by my grandmother, and all is new again… just the old memories stay with me now.

“What greater thing is there for two human souls than to feel that they are joined … to strengthen each other … to be at one with each other in silent unspeakable memories.”
George Eliot

Residing near the beach, I love to take my camera on photo-shoots when there is an impending storm, darkened skies, with the threat of rain or even snow! The shadows call to me and the fog is my friend. I hear sounds…yet most of the surroundings lie hidden from view. This allows me to escape into my own world, creating the next canvas for another of my “paintings.”

    Fantastic work

  • Thank you, Joy! It was a dried rose that was ready for the trash and I decided to give it one more chance here…

How perfectly you framed the rose and then gave it such a rich, warm treatment!

  • Difficult to discard a blossom when it is dead and gone… Vintage petals on something old and new again…
