  • Thanks Alan. Well it looked like a deadend from the entrance, but I suppose persistance and inquisitiveness pays off: after venturing half way in, I could read the sign at the far end, indicating an opening to the right, which led in turn to more photo ops in another alley. So perhaps life is not so futile after all. The bag carrier seems to know this as well. Reminds me of the current TV program re ancient Rome, and all their hidden alleys.
