The Shadows of Self Righteousness by

Gates to a cell block, Old Adelaide Gaol, South Australia.
I hope these photos are conveying the message of how I feel about what is essentially one murderous group of self righteous sociopaths deciding that they have the right to deny other people not only their liberty and sanity, but also their very lives. Capital punishment has and continues to be a blot on the face of human civilisation, kept alive by a form of introverted greed for power over other human beings, and vicious self seeking revenge, that is to my thinking, unfathomable. Despite all of our technology, and the ideals of the greatest philosophers of the modern age, we are still in the shadows.

    Excellent …

  • This one in particular, I thought was mediocre last year when I was trying a vertical 8:5 crop, but the shadows in the square crop give it both a frame for strength and mystery.
