Sorry to be gruesome, but this immediately made me think of a hanging tree. Something about the contorted branches is like the remains of a human figure. Some of your images are especially open to interpretation, and this is an excellent example.
Yes, I spend some time just wandering, looking for these scenes: as conceptual works. The background melancholy of the forms arises from the ancient land, still wild.

Thanks Carol…2 extra controlled burns are in progress today- extra smoky to keep them slow, but the smoke is making all the residents extra nervous…but it has to be done for future safety.
