"The Caretaker" - The Common Man Series by

The common man becomes “mother” when the younger ones are hungry, becomes “father” when the younger ones need a solid support, becomes “brother” when they need an extra hand, becomes “sister” when they long for sibling love…

The girl in this picture was taking care of her younger brother with a “mother-like” aura… Her parents are daily wage workers at a construction site… It a chilly winter and both of them are off to work… And the little girl, hardly 6-7 years old, is taking care of her younger sibling as if she is his mother… I could not further click any snaps of the little ones… I just sat with them, talked to them…

I’m very glad you took the time to talk with these little ones … what a story … and your portrait of them is very beautiful, biren … one to clutch at the heart

  • I glad you like the photo and the story… I couldn’t click a single frame beyond this… I had to talk to them on a jolly note, to make them feel good… i can only hope that the feelings are carried out by this photograph…
