After looking at quite a few photographs of Smoke of Incense Sticks, Match Sticks and some of bulbs burning as well, I was keen on trying it out. But it was not easy without a tripod.
Finally, y wife gifted a tripod to me on Valentine’s Day (best gift I could have asked for), and this was the first result.
I had to carefully break the globe of the bulb, so that the filament remains intact. And when I powered up the bulb then, the filament reacted with oxygen in the atmosphere and the magic was imprinted on my EOS 7D’s sensor.
A 60W bulb would burn for about 1 and a half second. I was thrice fortunate.
To have received such a wonderful gift
To have managed to break the globe without damaging the filament in the first attempt
and to have got this beautiful mushroom cloud while the filament burnt.
