Forgotten.... by Trish Woodford

She patiently waits….maybe for the next generation to come along and pick her up again.

Ran out of subjects so had to resort to my grown daughters old dolls lol, but hopefully have achieved a bit of a mood here.

Trying to stick to my new years resolution of getting a bit more creative with my photography, thinking outside the box, thinking about light/shadows more or at least putting my new Sweet Optic 35 (for Lensbaby Composer) to use to achieve a more ‘incamera’ artistic feel.

(I’m liking that on the Nikon, the Lensbaby forces you to do everything manually. I often fall into using Aperture mode alot, but thats not possible using Lensbaby, everything has to be done manually).

Better viewed large.

You’re doing so well with the lensbaby, Trish! Have you posted to the lensbaby forum on their site? They love seeing new users :)

  • Thanks Mel, you are so masterful with it…..its tricky finding that sweet spot, the right light seems to be helpful. Quite the learning curve – thanks for the tip re: the forum :)

I like the lighting. What do you think of the lens baby lenses? I have often thought if investing in them. Which would you say are your must haves?

  • Thanks Lisa, really enjoying them – tricky though, bit of a learning curve. I have the composer which comes with double optic glass but I found it a little frustrating having to manually use the magnetic tool to change the aperture rings all the time, especially if you are out and about. That prompted me to get the Sweet 35 Optic insert. Finding that much easier as it has an aperture dial. On the Nikon once you put lensbaby on everything is manual, which I guess is not a bad thing as it forces me to learn more. Hope this helps :)
