Three Wise Monkeys
Speak No Evil, See No Evil, Hear No Evil
My take on the famous three wise monkeys above the door of the pub on the corner of George St, in Sydney.
The building was constructed in 1886 and is listed in the City of Sydney Heritage Inventory and the Register of the National Estate.
The monkeys were later added but I can’t find any info on who sculptured them.

Free texture layers used for some toning. Mostly channel mixed and gradient mapped.

Ah love this! I read a book about the monkeys a while ago, really interesting theories behind this. Great tonal work on this one Trish, really like the slightly darker mood here!
