This is truly a wonderful portrait. I agree, the wrinkles and crevaces in his face hold many stories to be told. His eyes have a way of speaking to you with their silence. Very, very, nice capture.

My heartiest congratulations on winning the APA Group’s challenge with this remarkable and outstanding monochrome portrait study.

The subject is such an interesting character and seems to work very well with you and the camera and your right-in-tight study of him clearly show the character and details of this amazing old man.

The lghting/exposure/processing are very well done, your use of depth of field and selective sharp focus are excellent and the processing has rendered very well controlled highlights and shadows as well as good contrast and tonal range.

The photograph has impact and a strong X Factor and makes for very interesting viewing.
