Brown Bomber

Queensland Railways Heritage Fleet C17 showing it’s original livery whilst taking on water at Grandchester. Affectionatley known as brown bombers these locos were poular with drivers and were used for both freight and
passenger work. All were decommisioned in 1969 with the end of the steam age and many found there ways into parks as displays of a time that once was. Now many have been taken from the parks and restored for use on tourist railways. The C17 was the popular choice for both of these with only 3 other locos of different classes finding their ways into public parks.
