Snowflake Shadows

Snowflake Shadows

This photograph was taken last winter….....nothing terribly special but it was quite amazing that day…............there were huge snowflakes falling from the sky, not single snowflakes but huge clumps around the size of a quarter or silver dollar. The sky was thick falling snow and this picture shows shadows that some flakes are casting against the backdrop of falling snow.

That’s really interesting Lisa, we don’t get snow so we don’t get familiar with such phenomena, it seems weird that a snowflake could cast this sort of shadow, thanks for insight.

I think the only reason that happened is because the falling snow was so thick you couldn’t see everything beyond…............I’ve been looking at it for a year and it’s all I can come up with…...........................Thank you Matt :)

It was really coming down on this day, it may happen a few times during the season but usualy it’s more of a normal average snowfall.
