It comes yet it still goes,
You keep it in and it still shows.
You close your eyes but the tears still fall,
You try to walk but you have to crawl.
I see the pain in your beautiful face
You’re losing your life’s hardest race
You just keep trying, never giving in
But its eating at your soul like a deadly sin
Your heart keeps beating
Your smile more than a line,
and then for a small and fleeting
moment it all seems fine.
But then I see the pain in your tired face
You’re losing your life’s roughest race
You just keep trying, never giving in
But its eating at your soul like murderous sin
I hold your delicate hand
It crumbles like rock to sand
It breaks my heart to see you so
But the end seems near, this i know
so…
Fly away my little sparrow
Break from this straight and narrow
path which leads to God knows where,
But follow the sun, it will lead you there.
And slowly your shadowed eyes begin to drop
Your hand in my hand begins to flop,
I see your lungs take one last deep breath
And then my little swallow took off for a land called death…

And then my little swallow took off for a land called death… For me the most powerful line, I felt I tight squeeze in my chest….Incredible poem.
