we gaze upon our kingdom
and we are pleased with the rising heat,
the splendid storms,
the rolling dust,
the tempting greens.

We look up at the big blue,
our square of sunshine
And we know,
we have only conquered half of what is beautiful
in this world…

Lovely shot of Athens – what you have written is lovely too but it’s philosophy (thought & great thinkers) that made Athens powerful & great (not conquering).

  • Thank you Penny. :) haha, yes i am aware, that the conquerors were Roman and philosophers Greek, this was more my writing about the friend in the photo and my travelling experiences and seeing all the beauty in the world together, conquering our personal travel maps. I appreciate your thoughts on it. :)

I know traveling to beautiful places can make us feel like we are invisible – it looks & sounds like you had an amazing time – it’s so lovely to see the world it really opens up the mind & the senses :))

  • It was such an amazing experience and i am so blessed at my age to have travelled so much. I think though now i have caught the travel bug! haha! Thank you Penny! :))
