like a ship without an anchor. by

Good old supertramp. isn’t he just simply sublime! i had this piece, titleless and was waiting and wishing for a title to appear and his song played and these lyrics stuck in my brain for our bodies are ships and our mind their anchors.

And when we lift our anchors from the murky depths of our souls and let our helm guide our ships to their docks, we will find calmer and clearer waters. For instead of following the map, we followed the stars; and we went with the wind and not our compass… Fiona

    Love the words…
I’m think I might steal them to create something myself. So inspiring…

I also think that the mind is the ship and the body the anchor, but that’s another story I think ;D

    xx

  • oh brilliant! glad it has inspired you my dear friend! You are most welcome to use them! :) can’t wait to see the result! :)

Oh so true actually! hmmm, didn’t think of that, what a different perspective and certainly another story! :) i think iv taken it from a love perspective in that our minds keep us anchored where our hearts ( helm) guides us by feeling the elements, guiding our bodies and all that goes with them. I think yours is coming from a philosophical side with our minds sailing seas of knowledge and imagination whilst our body keeps us grounded in reality, preventing us from living this realm to another! :) love it, i just love thinking like this! art is just fantastic! :) xxxxxx

if i didnt know better i would presume you to be a Jesus follower? at lot of the things you say are so poetic and beautiful plus also seem to linger in the beauty of book of psalm. Dont wish to impose on you, i just find your mind very heart compelling.
