This black bear was just hanging out at the local park in my home town of Fort Frances, Ontario and grazing on acorns. I pulled up right beside him and got this look over his shoulder. Quite the character!!
great capture..wow as long as you were safe
Thanks Heather. He was totally focused on the acorns and went right back to them. This was taken within a block of the water plant entering Pithers Point Park, if you know Ft Frances.
no i don;t..but I will get there one day..:D
Great shot Bill, love the expression, a good idea to stay in the car!!
Thanks Marvin. This time of the year we see quite a few of these guys in town. I’ve even had then in the apple tree in the backyard.
Gorgeous!!! Great shot!!!
Those pesky bears. I remember a couple of summers in my childhood when here were a couple of nuisance bears in our area, breaking into homes even in broad daylight. I can still see the terror on Mom’s face as she was trying to load the shot gun while one was trying to break down our front door. Julie
Hmmm . . .. . pesky yes, but I still like’m.
Must have been those radical hippie bears from the 760’s. The bears toady are much better behaved. My sister has a couple living on her property;t hey know their boundaries and as long as they leave the dogs alone, no one minds that they’re there.
How wonderful to see a bear. It’s a super shot, he’s not interested in being immortalised on RB at all!j
You’re right and he was very interesting to watch.
Great grab Bil!
thanks again :o)
Amazing capture Bill! I would have been petrified to be this close! You’re a brave man!
Thanks for stopping by Joanne. This guy only wanted acorns, not me ;-))
Thanks Fran. Sorry for the delayed reply, I’ve been away.
