Clay Wash

This dry clay wash was found in Badlands National Park in South Dakota, USA. I was absolutely fascinated with the abstract quality of the dry clay in a stream bed at the foot of fossil filled hoodoos.

The color is really gorgeous, almost has an irridescent quality to it. It would make a wonderful color for a glaze.
