I live in the Texas Hill Country near Georgetown, Texas where I continue to photograph nature with a creative and inspired approach. The broad expanse of sky and western landscapes punctuated by details of varying subjects draw me in to explore natural abstractions.
When I lived in the north country I captured the natural beauty of Northwestern Ontario on a daily basis. The play of light, subtlety of color and the intrigue of texture are elements to look for in images both past and present. The spirit of nature presented through abstract impressionism has become an important element of my current photographic images.
I photographed across Northwestern Ontario and northern Minnesota for over 20 years. Retiring early from a career in education, I pursued nature photography and outdoor writing while living in Fort Frances, Ontario. Articles with photographs have appeared in a variety of magazines and numerous tourism brochures.
My photo images can be found in private collections in Australia, Canada, the United States, Taiwan, and Norway. I am a member of NANPA, the North American Nature Photographers Association, and a past member of the Outdoor Writers of Canada, and the Outdoor Writers Association of America.
