Sprinters shadow Canon 400 2.8 with x2 converter from the top of the grandstand – This image is full frame with no photoshop and is as-is from the Canon EOS 1D camera. 1000th at 5.6 This image also recently won a Gold and won the sports category in the recent 2008 International Aperture Awards
This is amazing. I sdidn’t know what it was at first but once I knew what it was… I was blown away! The shadow is perfectly timed. Wow is all I can say. God Bless, Megan
Thanks Megan – I took it in 2006 at the Commonwealth Games. I spent about 2 hours chasing the light between 2 grandstands at Olympic Park in Melbourne. Shot a bit tight and lucky to get away with it as the shadow was way longer than I thought it would be when he came past.
