of the world
she said
he said
everything was so much better

when you were around.

Walking down that road
i saw you standing outside a shop
with soul
written across it’s window
like a beacon
that you didn’t see
me
i’m just wishing that
i could’ve been
something
more than
nothing that reminds me of you
when you were around.

must’ve meant one thing
something
that time
when you drew smiling faces in the sand
held my hand
and asked where i’d been hiding.
