you do have a talented perspective
and thats one john wayne film i can sit down and enjoy
with a bottle of old bushmills by my side

Thanks a lot Charlie!! I love your comments, it’s like you are writing about someone else than me.

In fact, this is the ONLY John Wayne film I can endure watching. Simply because for once he is not sitting on a horse all the time, wearing a hat and scarf, shooting whatever villain is available.

really nice shot through the branches. The film instantly came to mind too. Dodgey accents aside, I could watch it again:))

Gorgeous!!!!!! And this is from that wonderful old movie!!!!! HOW FABULOUS!!!! I think I’ve probably seen that one a million times!!!!!! This is gorgeous … how wonderful to know it’s still standing and still in such beautiful condition!!!!!!! Your capture of it is magnificent … the framing branches with the touches of brilliant orange are absolutely genius!!!!!!!! Well done again, my girl!!!!!

  • Fruitexplosion replied

Ah Lois, so sorry to burst your bubble. It is a replica of the actual cottage. The original one no longer exists. But they have done a great job on it, since really everything is replicated as it appears in the film. Even the furniture is replicated.

This cottage is in use as ‘the quiet man museum’ and visited very often by tourists to, as they promote themselves, ‘experience the full quiet man tour’.

But I am really glad that you like the picture.
